My ARB RTT mattress is about 5" thick and doesn't compress all the way through with me sleeping on it (205lbs). I don't think it could be rolled. Stowed it is about 4'x'4x10" Not very camping friendly

My Tepui one could be rolled... but it'd be roughly 4' long, by about 1.5' in diameter. still not camping friendly... it'd make more sense to just fold it in half and put shit on it than to try and fit a 4'x1.5' cylinder in your rig lol

Oh interesting- I was actually looking at the Tepui ones- which size do you have? I was thinking it would be ideal if I could just fold it up and put it on the dog platform in the back of my cab, let the pup sleep on it on the way to camp. Do you think it would be comfortable straight on the ground or is it a little too soft for that?

I have the Kukanam. it's roughly the size of a queen bed... slightly narrower... but longer it's about 7.5" long. it'd be better than nothing, but not ideal.

how about this. let's connect sometime this week/weekend... and I'll open up the tent and pull the mattress out and let you see it. I work off Colfax where they're building the new VA, but live in Southlands... either of those near you?

    Awesome, thanks! PM Sent

Edit: If anyone else has any other camping mattress suggestions I'd love to hear them- having a good sleep system is key to getting the girlfriend to come camping with me...

I just bought a few of these for my camper but I just laid them on top of the bed cushions I already have. They're at a few Home Depots for $25 a roll.

Best camping mattress set up I've ever had was a queen air mattress with a memory foam topper.

Awesome- I was wondering how much better the air mattress would be if I threw a topper on it... May have to pick one up and try this

if it was a "never flat" air mattress I could be on board... but I HATE when the air mattresses lose air, I sleep on my stomach so I end up with a severely arched back in those damn things lol

a cot on the ground is the best imo.
Or just a thermarest. Foam pads sink to that single pine cone that went unnoticed.
Alps Mountaineering makes some of the best for the money.

0% chance... I work for the US Military... where even the humans I work with wouldn't qualify as sentient.... or intelligent.
