Oh I gotcha. If a multimeter shows good continuity between the antenna mount and the body of the truck you should be good to go.

Damnit... yes AFE. I had an AEM CAI in my Altima so I must have channeled back to old days.

The funny thing is that there is a ramp right next to the sand and my boss wanted me to jump it. :p I almost did... Then I realized I didn't want to break anything right before Moab.

That is backwards thinking. You're supposed to have a shakedown jump at the pit, so that if something did break, you could fix it before you jump your truck at the dunes near camp. Didn't you know that LT trucks are obligated to take those jumps?

Ray that needed to be taken at a much higher rate of speed for LT and fancy shocks. Do it again and get it right this time!

I was testing the new tires to see how well they grip in sand without digging. Pretty happy with them. Pulled me through with no effort.

I have, and @Kappes03 is stationed there, where are you headed? Anchorage, Fairbanks? somewhere in between? TONS of places to go/see. I can't say much about trails, but plenty of destinations to drive to and sight see... and food joints

Since Alaska is so big, you might want to narrow it down. @Kappes03 just got back from being station there (Army) too.

Chicken (if you have the time as it's a long trip and you might as well visit Dawson City and take the ferry across the Yukon river)
Prudehoe (again if you have the time)
Kodiak (island) is pretty cool again, if you have time and can go out.
Petersville (shitty little one building town, everything is generator powered... but after the sun goes down it's amazing how many stars you can see with 0 light pollution from cities, and often the northern lights come into view over Mt McKinley (or Mt Denali... what ever they're calling it now)

the Double Muskee right near Aleska ski resort has AWESOME food... well worth the $ IMO

As @ebbs15 and @CO MTN Steve said above, where in Alaska are you gonna be? There's endless things to do. Seward glacier tours (there's one tour that takes you to 26 glaciers in 5 hours, hiking, fishing, 4-wheeling, wildlife refuges, etc.

I'm literally loading the truck up to start my journey to Washington. So long Alaska!
