    Yes.
Howdy Y'all! I arrived in Littleton last night, and realized I have a problem. (Or maybe that's two or three problems)

Two wheel studs are flat out sheered off on the front drivers side.
and two more are free spinning. I don't think I have enough tools with me to get the free spinning ones off unless I'm VERY lucky.

Do any of y'all in the area?
On the same topic, If I can get the wheel off, I'm likely to replace the whole hub assembly, since those free spinning lugs are likely stripped in the hub. I don't have a socket large enough to pop the axle nut.

Who wants to have a hotel wrench day? Or should I call the local Toyota dealership and make an appointment?
(broken studs are going to put a damper on Moab next week.)

If I was in Denver I'd help you out, hopefully someone up in that area will chime in and lend a hand. If worse comes to worse, go to a brake shop and have them press in all new studs.

I'll check to see what we have in stock here in a little bit. Sounds like it is not driveable? What kind of wheels?

    Yes.
    17" Toyota 4Runner SR5 wheels.
And no, I don't think it's safe to drive in it's current state.

I've got one of the two lugs from the broken studs. I also managed to bring three spare toyota lugs with me. So, I "think" even if we have to drill out the two "free spinning" studs, I'll have enough lugs to put it back together.

Lars where in Littleton are you at? I have to work but if you need garage space and tools and can get to my garage you are welcome to it.

EDIT: Nevermind I see that it is not drivable. Where are you at and what tools do you need?

I have a box of 1st gen wheel studs at home you can have. That's if you don't replaces the hub. The knurl is for a 1st gen. But I don't know if 2nd and 1st gen are the same. If you need them let me know.

I'm staying at the Hyatt Place
    9030 East Westview Road
    Lone Tree, Colorado, USA, 80124

And working during the day this week at our littleton office.
1221 West Mineral Ave Littleton, CO 80120

I think buying a hub, is the right course of action. However I'm not sure what I'll need to get the two "free spinning" studs off, which will make removing the wheel difficult.

Well if you can get the hub off with the wheel then you can use a grinder with a cutting wheel to cut the heads off the studs. Maybe. I don't know much about 2nd gens.....

I have one in the truck right now and I can head over after work today.

OK I know right where you are. Let's see if @thefatkid has a hub in stock then we can take the course of action I discussed in PM with you.

Better to ask what I have not done.

you're confident you can get the stripped studs out too? (they spin freely when you turn the lug.)

Anyone had experience with Duratrac tires? Mine have started howling around 40-50mph with only 4k on them?
