Thanks! For the info and refraining from any jokes about length mattering.

Very good deal and probably because he doesn't have a clue what he has. Running boards? They're made by All-Pro, the Apex is just the model, and they're bolt-on or at least look to be. I paid I think $350 for a pair, and that's less than half what they run new. His line to 'call Apex to see what it fits' is pretty much useless, since how are they going to know what length he has (never mind trying to call 'Apex')? The AC and DCSB should be the same length and I believe interchangeable. A regular cab would be shorter of course, and a DCLB is stupid long. :D I just went out and measured mine and they are 80 inches from end to end as @Blacktacoma23 said. Note that the bolt-on requires you to drill at least ten holes in the frame. Also @mountainmonkey

Also you may want to check if he's got the hardware. At that price I'd get them anyway, but it's not just nuts bolts and washers - there's some mounting plates that are needed as well.

I never heard anything back from this guy. Was anyone able to get ahold of him? I really hope one of our TW brothers was able to snag this sweet deal even if it wasn't me.

Make sure it's not a scam. Selling something for less than its value, not knowing what the item is, sounds like phishing or a scam. @sean266 how say you?

I sent this guy numerous emails within the first couple days of his posting and haven't heard anything back yet. I assumed it was a scam since it is still up and over a month after the original post date. Surely at that price it would have been scooped up by now.

I am sure this has been talked about to death but I have a couple of questions.

    1. Best cb on a budget? Going on a camping trip next weekend. Would love to get one before then.
    2. Best way to map trails, i.e. gps, actual maps? Which book should i get? I am not 100% sure how to use gps maps without a internet connection which im sure i will not have out there.

edit: just found this, reading it now as well. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/offroad-navigation-discussion-thread.430144/

    Thanks!

If you want to create tracks of trails a true GPS is the way to go. I have a Garmin Montana and while it's not cheap nor are the maps it's the right tool for the job.

looks like a nice piece of equipment, I dont go out super often so it probably would be cost prohibitive for me, perhaps a good book would be best for me. im downloading some free apps now as well to see how those check out.

Yeah it's not cheap but it's rugged. Runs on either AA's or a lithium battery rechargeable via USB. Shock and dust proof though screen protectors are necessary. I've had mine for 3 years or so now and bought it refurbished.

Mine has lived most of it's life on my bike seen in the lower part of the frame:
