Holy crap. That's why mine was easy. I had like 15 programs, some pictures, and a handful of documents to back up.

Hey guys, I need some advise as to whether or not I am in the wrong.

So I bought my 08 a while back, it came with a Toyota true start 84 month warranty battery, it was born on 3-12 so its 4 years old, i would expect a 50/50 return on it.

I went to the dealer this morning and they told me since I didnt buy the battery and it came with the truck they would not honor the warranty which sounds completely stupid to me, first off im paying 20k for this truck and they cant honor a battery that is under its 84 month warranty still? Seems shady to me... Now for a small rant, I called before going up there to make sure i didn't need to make an appointment, the guy said no just drive into the service bay and we will take care of you and yes the battery is under warranty still if it was born on 3-12. I drove up, got asked twice if i had an appointment and i said no i called and was told i didnt need one, they said i did but they would take it anyways and i would have to leave it there with them. Really? I need to leave my truck there to change a battery? I said thats okay just give me the battery and i will change it myself, then the warranty issue came to light. Sorry if this sounds bitchy, just pisses me off that Im paying so much for this truck and they cant just honor a warranty, I would expect more from Toyota.

So should i call Toyota and complain on are they right? I feel like anytime I have to deal with a dealership something goes wrong and it never goes to plan unless im just going in to get a oil filter.

    Thanks!

Just a thought, the Tru Start is a good battery. That being said, this might be a good time to upgrade to a better battery.

I will do that next time for sure, Generally i just like to use Toyota parts so I felt like it was a good choice. I already bought the new one so I think im stuck with it unless they would take it back which i really dont want to put myself in that frustrating position to have to deal with them again unless im forced to.

True Start Batteries are only warrantied to the original purchaser. So that is correct. You have no right to "warranty".

Now, could you take it back to the selling dealer and request a battery, sure. If you buy service/parts there they might even get you one at no-cost. Understand, if they gave you one at no cost, it still would not carry a Toyota warranty.

Ok so I'm having a creaking going on in the front end of my truck ,when SLOWLY going over bumps... LR UCAS could it be the bushings??? Can I spray a Teflon spray on the bushings to see if that isolates the noise?? Ball joints on LR are fairly new
Icon coilovers could that be the source of the creaking??? And I need a rebuild??:notsure:
I was thinking it may be my Dakars but that's a whole different creak :D
    Any ideas??????
    Any input is greatly appreciated

When I ditched my sway bar it got rid of a lot of creaks and clanks. I still have a "poly bushing" type creak when going over dips too. I'd be interested to know if Teflon spray would work on the UCA or if regreasing them would be better.

Your ICON'S have heim joints where the lower shock bolt attaches. It probably needs some Tri flow squirted on it.

to many to list, check the build thread
i have a video somewhere in my build thread of a similar sound, i think it ended up being the lower shock bushings on my old 5100's that was shot. When replaced with BOSS noise went away, i have a click that happens now sometimes though

looking at your coilover, follow it down to where it is bolted to the lower control arm...what the bolt is going through is your heim joint.
