I just dont know why we cant all get along!

I think/assume it was the same day as the "demonstration" but I saw some guy just riding a wheelie WB on 6th for a while. He was going speed limit'ish, with few cars around him not endangering anyone. No harm, no foul. It's all about judgement (on both ends).

    Exactly. There's a time & a place. Don't be a douche.

The other day similarly, I was driving around on 44th and a dude on a little supermoto clutched up a little ~20mph wheelie for a block or two. No one else was around and it didn't bother me a bit :notsure:

Power sliding through an empty abandoned corner only helps your knowledge of the handling of the vehicle. Do the same thing in a populated or crowded area...you deserve a little reminder to not do that again. But I digress. I need to go wind the rope on the winch, but I know its going to be hot out there.

eesh. I've got a box fan just blasting at my desk right now. Distilleries aren't the easiest places to keep cool in the summer :annoyed:

I decided to go back out and install it yesterday after getting home and almost nixed that plan when I felt how how it was. But thankfully there was SHADE!

I've been putting off installing some more lighting for the whole sun/heat thing. I'd really like to use the lights this weekend though so we'll see what today looks like.

On another note, any recommended things to see or do down in the buena vista area? We're heading down to BV, going over to taylor park res, then tincup, over to st elmo and hiking princeton w the pup. That's the tentative plan that the lady was okay with for anniversary weekend. I'm supposed to research and see if there are any cool thangs we missed

And south from St. Elmo, Hancock Lake is pretty easy to get to (not for subies) 38.619565, -106.355145 Short hike up to the lake, but its a beautiful lake and we only saw a few people up there. Its along the CDT.

Yup, saw a few moose along the west, dirt(for now) side.

Yessum. Drops you right out at TPR

At the top of the pass, you can hike a little of the CDT to the top for great views.

    It is pretty sweet

This one uses support legs, but.... I have an idea on how to get around that since mine is mounted on my Expo Trailer. We will see this weekend after I have it all set up if the idea rolling around in my head will work.

My original plan was to get one of the cheaper ones off eBay that had "weaker" hinge and rebuild that, since the fabric is the hard part to get working! But they no longer sell them on the fleabay. :(

The Eezi Awn is beefy as hell, simple lightweight design but worked great. It was mainly in the hinge area, the rest was just tube metal, I think steel but felt lightweight like aluminum. Although my Prinsu Rack didnt really have the rigidity that it needed. But it was up in 40mph winds and I then decided to tie it down since it looked great, but the roof rack was flexing and the truck was rocking. :D

FYI, there was a sign at the base of Cottonwood last weekend that it was going to be closed 2017. Wonder if they are paving the west side?

Wow, that's good to know. Guess less camping for me next year over there. Will just have to explore Lake City/ Creede more.

I am actually kinda excited for it (short term), it was a fucking SHIT SHOW up there last weekend, sooooo many campers and asshats with sidebys'. This will make it more of a pain to get there and likely decrease traffic up there for a bit. Downside, it will be even easier to get there after the paving . . .

Yeah, one more 'KOA' area to avoid.
