It does not seem like a max out thunk, it usually happens with an impact of a rock or bump at the beginning of travel. So I'm thinking maybe just the premature wear of a bj.

Are all of the cam bolts tight and are the rubber bushings in good order?

Thank you. I recall asking you about it a while ago now that you have provided the name :rasta:. I'll just hang out in the shadows and continue to watch the progress.

    . opinions .
Center the tire or offset to the passenger side. I've always centered the tire in the past.

Not sure if first gens have taco lean like the second gens but offset to the passenger side would potentially help with that a bit. Also you may retain a bit better visibility with it offset. Just my 2¢. Swing out looks good so far.

Better to ask what I have not done.
@BDN are you only doing a tire or are you adding anything else?

I'd offset it to the passenger side. Easier ability to add other things to it.

That was more of an observation than a complaint. I've been out 3 out of the last 4 weekends.

Offset to passenger for all the reasons mentioned plus less leverage on the pivot point.

They do, and I agree it may be beneficial.
as you can clearly see, or maybe not due to the poor camera angle, there is another 40" of bar to work with. I bought 8' and the bed is just under 5' in width.
I have room for a couple 5 gallon gas cans, chainsaw, stripper pole, kitchen table, and an attachment for my banana hammock.

    Well aren't you cool. :p.
My point was, instead of making an observation why not post up and lead a trail run for others to go on with you. :D

So I'll prolly move it to the passenger side. But I need to make sure there is room for that tire to grow in size and not block the tail light or hang beyond the canopy. As it is a 34" tire will center just above the tailgate and still be just above the top edge of the bumper.
