Helloooooooooooo Colorado Peeps! Dealer called me today wanting to see if I wanted the 2017 Tacoma PRO.

Dealer: "Al, great news, I can put you down on the list for a 2017 Tacoma PRO"
Me: " WOW! 2017 are being built and allocated "
Dealer: "Pretty soon, these vehicle are going to be in high demand"
Me: "That is great news, put me down on the list"
Dealer: "Okay you are going to be the 7th person on the list"
Me: " What will it cost?"
Dealer: " Since these are going to be in high demand, its going to be MSRP plus Denver Mark Up"
Me: "So what are we talking about $$"
Dealer : "45k appx MSRP plus 5k Denver Mark Up"
    Me: "beep,beep,beep"
Dealer: "Hello, Hello, Are you still there?"

If anyone of you visit Toyota dealer and see my name on the magical list, you gotta let me know! LOL

Holy Moly the dealership had be pumped! What the hell is a Denver mark up anyways?

Can you imagine if you saw a vehicle with side mirrors by the front fender/hood? Hertz in Africa had Land cruisers for rental...yet majority of the population walk everywhere...crazy world.

I jacked up the truck and tried to find any issues... pried between knuckle and UCA, knuckle and LCA, rotated the tie rod end to see if it felt like it had any play or rough feeling. Nothing. The cam bolts for the LCA appeared to be tight enough. I found 100 ft/lbs listed on the forum and the rear one was maybe 90. The front one was tight, but I could not get a torque wrench on it without dropping the skid plate. The front one looks like its missing a nut, although there was no wear like there was one ever there, so maybe not.

Towards front of truck, front of LCA

Front LCA bolt towards the back. Almost looks like there should be another nut there since the rear LCA bolt has one. I didnt remember to look at the passenger side again until now...

When I looked toward the passenger side I noticed this lovely mess, which is why I forgot to compare the LCA bolt setups. I'm not sure what kind of fluid it is and cannot tell exactly where its coming from. it looks like its been there for a while but its still wet.

As can be expected, the last time I was at Stevenson Toyota, I was told that "everything looks great under the truck." I had no idea about this fluid leak, but I did know about the passenger side outsideboot that is spewing grease everywhere through the clamp.

I know Jace works there, but the last time I requested him, they told me I could not have him unless my truck was going back for something special... routine service gets performed by those who haven't yet learned 'righty tighty, lefty loosey.'

When I was in there last, they called me after about an hour and a half (I'm sure after the tech dicked around for a good while), to see if they could remove the items from my back seat to rotate the spare tire in with the tire rotation. I was quite confused, they walked me back and the kid wanted to get my spare tire tool out to drop the spare, and ended up borrowing one from the tech in the next bay.

Any obvious things it may be? it has 26k on it. There are no signs of it coming from up above. The outside CV boot is leaking, but I dont imagine that it would sling sideways onto the engine.

To top it off, I call Stevenson to see if the service dept is open. The woman says "No, they close at 6" I asked when they open tomorrow, she said "I think its 7, but if its not 7 then its 8, so you could just try around 7:30. I asked if she could try and find the correct answer... which turns out to be 7.

Wut? Anytime I called Stevinson @lotsoftoys is the only one I let touch my truck there (him and one of his sidekicks, Keith Lucero)
I never had an issue with requesting Jace

That worked for the first time or two, then the next time, after requesting him when setting up the appointment, and making sure it was going to him when I dropped it off... he never saw it. I asked the next time and they said that he was in the other shop, and basic maintenance happens in the quick lube shop so he wouldn't see it. So its been molested two times now (or three). I thought about trying to see how over-torqued the drain bolt is (because I can guarantee the last moron that worked on it probably took an impact to it), but I decided not to mess with it.

I figured that it would be in OK hands... but apparently I could've taken it to WalMart and had the same quality service. :annoyed:
