For what it's worth, I've largely had positive experiences with Corey and his work. It sucks that there are inconsistencies with his business and I hope that you are able to resolve things.

I feel let down as well.
Sitting around with unresolved issues also gets me "no where."

My resolve is to spread the word, learn my lesson taught by Corey, and find ways to make improvements in the future.

I think you nailed it. The best fabricators are poor businessmen. Different mindset.

I'm a little disappointed in the censorship this forum has shown regarding certain information pertaining to InSain. Some quick research on this forum and others will show what I mean.

I would say that was a perfectly relevant business review and not public bashing.

Defending poor business and questionable work typically gets you nowhere as well...

I guess I see it differently becausee I see all of the awesome work he has turned out and the happy people that love his work. I thinking we don't have the entire story here from either side.

All I've been waiting for is a response, after clearly explaining to Corey that's it's up to him how to fix/correct the issues. I also told him I'm upset and out of patience, three weeks ago.

The three things I listed don't include a few other issues I left out because it felt like "bashing."

I've listed a clearly worded review, with facts, it's hard to argue against facts. I'd be happy to show you, in person, my issues.

I had a good experience gettin my CMC done by him. I've heard to expect a long wait if you want a bumper or something like that though

I am not denying that you have open issues that need to be resolved, you clearly stated them for sure. It's been my experience in the past that there are other reasons behind the scenes that are not known to us that could be leading to a lack of communication and I prefer to not cast judgment until all sides of the story are known. That is all I am saying.

The reason I wanted to go with corey is because people do say great things about his work. I believe it's quality. But waiting 2.5 months for sliders he told me would be done in a week is disappointing. My main concern is the extreme lack of communication. I can't understand how you can go 3-4 weeks without any word or update.

He called you throughout my build for advice. You'd probably know better than anyone why Corey chose this path.

I received one call from him regarding the shackle flip before it was installed. Beyond that he told me nothing about the details or the business between you and him.

I am itching to go there! It looks like a great concept....rain or shine you can golf. If I ever retire, I want to work the beer cart at the golf club and play every day.

    Stuff. Also things.
I don't have a dog in this fight, but I didn't get the sense that John was 'bashing' at all. If anything it could be construed as a well-intended warning that the results from InSain are spotty. You might get a beautifully fabbed piece of gear delivered as promised, or in John's case, you might not.
Not to speak for you here, but as someone who is still in the middle of a frustrating deal with a vendor (in which over $2000 left my hands with nothing to show for it yet), I know that all I really need is to be kept in the loop. When a vendor only responds with yet another promised date that will likely slip like the last one, and the one before, it's maddening. When a vendor goes completely dark, it's real hard not to start getting pissed and feel like you're being disrespected.
Completely agree. In a niche market, your reputation will make or break you. If you're not savvy enough to realize what that means in the Internet age, you probably shouldn't be in business.

Top golf is the shit. I suck balls at golf and it was still a blast. I'd recommend getting a spot on the top floor if possible.
