both of the gun dealers we knew said the same thing. Machine quality and metals sub par when compared to the like of springfield, glock, sig or s&w. Also they had many more of them in for being looked at for complaints about failure to feeds.
I tell you what i would like to pick up is one of the new walther p99 subcompacts.

Weird. I talked to a guy about them and then called JensensArms who is a fan of them. Any recommendations on a single/double action around the $400 range?

I need your help guys. I am planning a 5 day camping/exploration trip for May of 2012. I know all the wheeling trails around (at least where to find them) but don't know of any good places to explore.

What I would like to need, have...:
need 4wd and be able to have some fun in the truck.
be able to camp in a different place each night; preferably drive-camp-drive farther-camp-start heading back-camp-head towards home-camp-head home.
places to explore, hike, see cool things off the beaten path.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have also seen many people compliment hi-point firearms the same way but they are still not what i would buy for myself.
Does the gun have to be new? I would look on the secondary market and see what i could find. I think a good used gun would be better than the cz in my opinion. I'm a big believer that you get what you pay for and if this is something that you intend on carrying for a ccw then i would think real hard since one of the issues i was told about by 2 different gun dealers that are family friends in KC(home of CZ USA) is that they have ftf issues that are exasperated by use of personal defense ammo. Now if you are just looking for a cheap gun to take the the range and shoot and you want to try the cz out then go for it.
Check out high plains firearms on broadway if you are in denver soon. They are on broadway and have about the best prices i have seen on handguns but almost no long gun selection. I picked up my g26 with couple extra mags for 499 when they were 100 bucks more everywhere else.
    just my 2 cents
