Well, I got a new wire port installed prior to the monsoon coming. The grommet set that I got was smaller than I expected, so its only like a 1" hole but, it'll work great for my needs. I fed the HAM antenna wire through there, and tomorrow or Sunday, I'll drop the solar panel wire through to go to the controller. Its right below the frame of the rear window, so the wire hides along it and isn't noticeable. I need to see how big the controller is so I can figure out where to mount it.

Is this a quick disconnect grommet for the roof? I am considering for my light bar and the solar panel when I get to that point.

No, just put a hole in the back of the cab so I can drop the wires down between the topper and the cab and pop them into the cab instead of having to go down under the truck and then up through the floor. My ham antenna cable was a few feet short going the long way, so I figured this'd be nice and easy. I just hit it with the first can of paint I grabbed to cover the edges.

It shortens the length of wire needed by a lot, and also is in a spot that it'll never really matter.

Ah cool. I am wanting to do one of those fancy roof top sealed quick disconnects when I get to mine. Just curious to see what others are doing. Keep up the good work so I can "borrow" ideas from you. :D

@3378jakesr5 sent you a text but I'll hit you up here. I won't be done by tomorrow with the blaster. I ran out of sand and I need to make more to finish my BBQ. So I'll let you know when I get done so you can use the blaster.

What's the weather there? It's about 90 here today (Washington)... and AC is rare around these parts

That was yesterday. Currently hovering in the 50's and raining, windy, feels like late fall.

I'm so psyched it's not 93 and sunny like it has been for the past 3 months.

I'm on a mission to get my house as cold as I can get it tonight.
