ok so theres part stupidity involved. im glad they are alright, but not in a seatbelt is death waiting to happen. i have seen it before. i had to hold a guys mouth open so he could breathe because he was choking on his own blood when he was ejected from a car. died before meds could come. died while i was holding his mouth open. no thanks.

Unfortunately people will hear that he made it and say... "See if he had his seatbelt on he would've been crushed inside."

But I'm a proud supporter of Darwinism, go ahead and make your own decisions!

I heard it all the time in Florida, saying that if you crashed into water you wouldn't be able to get out of the seatbelt. Well you won't have that problem without it on to begin with when you die flying into the windshield, you won't have to worry about getting wet.

i always wondered is it really that hard to remember to unbuckle your seatbelt when something like this happens? when i rolled my first raptor in pismo, i just kinda went for the ride and got out just fine. however it was only one rotation. but even in my rally days, when i rolled (multiple times) i never forgot or struggled with a sealtbelt or harness. and im always glad i had it on

There was. Passenger in that truck that was belted in and went for the entire ride and survived as well as the driver who was ejected half way down.

You pay tax on goods you consume correct? That's just a money maker. Again it'sthe principal of it. If you are speeding and the camera gets you then you are caught. Also the speeding cameras are typically set up in specific "safety" for a reason. To slow traffic down in the area due to construction, schools, or a high amount of complaints. They are typically not just set up at random.

Let he who has never broke the traffic laws, ever, cast the first stone...

Everybody fucking speeds at some point. We all break the law in one form or another during the day. Get over it.
If I didn't run the occasional red light or speed (fucking joke in a 1 ton van) to get around some fucktard in a lesbaru/prius, I'd never get anything done. I'd spend a large portion of the day being cutoff by those little pricks.
with that being said, the photo cameras are not legit. It's nothing more than volunteer revenue. Just write them a check for the hell of it if it makes you feel better. Otherwise, throw the ticket in the trash.

If we are going to quote the law, then the lawmakers better follow their own rules.
It states that tickets must be handed out by hand to be legit. Period. End discussion.

Tax on goods and services is not the same argument.

School zones should be manned by cops in cars. They do it here in the high traffic areas.

Where is this law stated that they have to be handed out by hand? I am searching but not finding it. You got link for that?

My point is there is more discussion here on how to "not pay the ticket" then to realize you just got caught breaking the law. I speed at times, run the occasional red light, and I am sure I have made illegal manuvers while on the road. If I get caught breaking the law then I need to do the time.

If the cameras and video are not legit, then why are dash cams and security cameras being used in court more and more to win or lose cases?

While that may be true of certain mobile speed vans being placed in school/construction zones for "safety" it's also an excuse. Speed vans and especially permanently mounted cameras are placed in an area where they know the highest profit can be made while also being able to use the excuse "safety reasons." I have tickets mailed to me and I don't think 21mph in a 15, or turning right when the light happens to turn red is a safety issue.

I know you live down here, so did you ever notice they stopped using the camera on santa fe and mineral? Now I question why they would so that. Not pulling in enough revenue to make it worth it? Maybe it helped stopping people from running it? I don't know, but we follow many fake "laws" because it's the norm and I'm innocent until a judge finds me guilty. So it's as simple as that why I don't pay.

Haha no. That was regrading parking tickets. Drive safe and don't get caught. ;)
