Let's do it! Doubt anything like that exists around here. It's either kept open because there's enough traffic, or it's been closed. That being said my chainsaw gets a workout busting out trails in the spring.

I watched parts 1 and 2 last night. Way better than their last 2 seasons.

Expedition Overspend. Was much better back before it was a real production.

 

The trail has not been run for decades... conditions like that aren't normal.

But I would have been all up for being right there with them doing that. Fun stuff. Other than the mosquitoes.

 

I'm up for it. And I learned my lesson this spring to carry my chainsaw when in doubt.

The family said a recent wind storm came through and caused damage beyond where they cleared the previous trip.
It not a popular trail by any means but it doesn't take more than a couple months of no clear cutting for it not to be passable without work

 

That's all part of the fun... If i wanted a reliable trail, I'd wheel with @sean266 at the cherry creek mall.

They shut down post up here at 3pm today cuz of this storm that supposed to come through... They said no one will come to work until 10am tomorrow. And it's base wide. It's only raining right now
Base never even got shut down in Alaska during a blizzard haha. The 3 years I was up there I think 1 day we left early cuz of snow.

IMO, there's something very fun and satisfying about opening up a trail and making something driveable again.

It's not always about getting somewhere.

They're predicting it's going to be the worst in 50 years. Though more so win vs rain. Some places are out power and it's not even windy haha...
