@3378jakesr5 's too much and that'd mean sifting through 47 pages of SAS/AR Lowers, failed Alcan GB's..

And are there any 115v "decent" welders or is everything going to be 220v? I think there is a 220v plug or two in the garage, but 115v would be better for ease of use and future uses where 220 is not readily available.

 

What's the next less backspacing/more negative offset wheel in 17x9 they have on hand?

-12mm offset is 4.5" of backspacing, FWIW.

I guess I need to actually see what I "need" from people who know what they are doing.

I'm not sure how thick of metal I would need to weld, but its just something to start with, make little brackets for things and practice.

It would be down the road, but what would it take welder-wise to add those knuckle gusset's?

 

This is what I got to start out. Flux core or mig. I have the 140. Good up to 5/16 steel. Plugs into the normal 120. The gussets from TC are 1/8 so this would be good for them. I welded my allpro rack with this, did my CMC and some other random stuff.

 

I love my Lincoln 210 MP. Great hobbyist welder. ESAB Rebel is supposed to be great also.

Both will do 110v or 220v when you need to lay the hammer down.
