Gotcha, I was hoping to find something a little less used...more able to do moving and shooting and other type of things.

You have less backspacing too, hmm..
I saw @Ice Horse had hers mounted down on the front of the frame.
I wonder if they could be mounted on top of the frame, but in the rear behind the coil bucket. Since i removed some of the brake lines, I might have room now.
Do they have the same stroke as the OME or Bilsteins? They look like they have a short stroke.

We had called ADS and talked to them directly.

We couldn't find really any spot to put them other than forward against the frame. Tucked them in there nicely. Did have to modify the washer fluid reservoir on the passenger side. They get rubbed just slightly by my tires at full lock, but my wheels don't have much offset.

So is it correct to assume that King's might/would rub too? I see the common denominator here is lack of room.

-12mm offset. As you've learned, as have I, backspacing is a terrible way to compare wheel fitment across different wheel width.

First setup was with the resi where Lauren's are. That was way worse in terms of rubbing, but hey, everyone can see your resis, so you've got that going for you, which is nice.

I tried to mount them on the top of the frame in front of the coil bucket. Cut a bunch of sheet metal away but ended up needing a shorter hose and some different fittings. I've got a set of TC coil bucket gussets sitting in the garage, will be welding those up this winter and trying to attach the resi to those.

As far as stroke, not sure, you'd have to call them. I did gain like 3/4" of droop travel though, I don't know how much was attributable to the UCAs though. Stock UBJ was the limiting factor on downtravel before.

The Resi can go wherever you want as long as it fits, doesn't hit the tire, and the hose doesn't rub and get a hole in it.

1st gens are a short stroke shock regardless of brand, most are only 5" to 6" ish. I would run a long hose and put it way up in the fender almost near the top. Gets it out of the way and easy to P clamp the hose out of harms way.

I Have most of the parts to add a resi to my 'Burg(SAW/aFe) bolt ins. The funny part is the resi would the 3-4" longer than my shocks now. Extreme overkill, but hey why not.

    Thank you sir.
Can hoses/fittings be changed and the shock not lose it's charge or oil? or is it no problem to refill or charge afterwards?

I would have to get out of the hammock and go to the corner of the porch to see where it would be searching for food, and it looks hella dark out there to boot. So I'll enjoy my warm'ness inside.

But if you want to donate a game cam to the cause, we can see what lurks in the dark.

You will need to drain and refill oil and nitrogen if you change the resi fittings. Easy to do, for me anyway.

Honestly, the wheeling you and most of us do, you don't need a resi. A 2.5 with internal ifp holds enough oil that you will not over heat it that the oil breaks down or the seals melt out.

But...you can do sweet jumps bro! :D

Someday I will hopefully get around to getting my rear end to match the front as far as ride quality lol.

Thank you for that. I wondered if a resi might be overkill if you're not desert wheeling.

Going great so far, glad I made the switch. This job came with a pretty decent pay bump too so I can't wait to start seeing paychecks
