Well, cut and solder I'm used to. I have enough wiring, the real problem is these fancy HID bulbs I got for my aftermarket fogs are gigantor, and there's no f-ing way I'm going to be able to fit everything in the light housing, and still dream of keeping it water tight. I might just have to send the HID bulbs back, but then I'd have some useless ballasts. Frustrating!

That sucks. I hate it when stuff like that happens. Can they sell you a bulb that will fit?

And Sean that is hilarious. I think we are gonna play that game at work this afternoon.

I'm not sure... I contacted the guy that sold 'em to me. He's always treated me well in the past (slimcubby on here if anyone's bought from him before) so I'm sure he'll take care of me. I'm just worried the solution will be sending them back and getting my money back. Sad... I was really hoping to do the same thing to these new fogs that I had on my stock fogs. HID's in 3000k made them come ALIVE!

I had 3000k in my stock fogs, t'was awesome.

6k in your fog lights? That would be completely and utterly useless in the snow or rain. LOL

Nope. Does quite well. In rain I use my fogs which are also HID

I'm confused. You have 6000k HID's in your foglights...? I have 6000k HID's in my headlights, and while they do look good they're pretty much useless in the rain/snow. In the rain it seems like they're not even on, and in the snow they just reflect everything back in my face.

3000k in my (stock) fogs was great. I might just have run without HID's in my (aftermarket) fogs and put some yellow film on them or something. DAMNIT

I have yellow piaa lights they do great in white out snow conditions. On a hut trip last year getting to the trail head I turned my he'd lights off and ran on my piaa lights only.

Just get some of these suckers. They're bright as fuck and have an amazing range, and they're not even HIDs. I can't imagine how bright those would be

Well, I guess I can buy another set of lights. Was hoping to use the set I already bought... Which I can, just sans the HID ballasts/bulbs I already paid for .

I'll see what the vendor says. Might ask someone who has some skill with this stuff to help me out, just not sure what can be done TBH.

Also, those are pretty white. I LOVE the yellow offset my stock fogs had with the 3000k HID bulbs. Was hoping to keep that with these aftermarket lights.

You still have stock fogs tho, right? I did my own stock fogs, that couldn't be easier. Pop out old bulb, pop in new, plug in ballasts & ziptie. Seriously easy.

I guess I was hoping this would just as easy, and it's not. Still waiting to hear back from the vendor... otherwise I'm not sure what I'll do. Different fogs mounted higher seem the solution, but frustrating since I have mounts for these fogs, and I already have the fogs lol.
