Had some new vibrations develop in the Coopers.
Went back to Discount to have them rebalanced, apparently they remembered me.
After they balanced again, their service guy took me aside and explained that with tires of this size, I should be expecting some vibrations.
And the balance was only 1-2 ounces off on 3 of the 4, which is acceptable, again, for a tire of this size..
    smh.

Hub Centric, They ran the lead right down the center.

I was mainly being sarcastic. :p

They just needed a re-balance, 1-2 ounces out on 3 wheels is actually a lot imo. They are fine now. I just get a kick out of the younguns explaining that sort of thing to me.

I sure did, made a soldering iron/plastic welding tool holder.

Gonna take a bit of practice, but stuff sticks together!

Well, if you do still feel a vibration ask for a dynamic balance (lead on inner edge of wheel and right behind the WMS)

Yeah, they asked me which one I preferred. I said whatever makes them smooth again. So they did the static again. They were smooth as silk when new. I think the siping might have played a role too, they usually sipe first, then balance.

Going to look at another Tundra, a 2006 this time. Maybe it will still be there by the time I get across town.

Thanks, i need too pick up some thicker scrap to goof around with since all the stuff i have is thin. Might run by the place by 6th and 25 depending on when i roll out from here.

I don't have gas yet...so I'll have extra splatter for a little while. Approximately what's a tank and fill usually cost? I would be fine with a smaller tank, not sure what sizes they come in.
