After getting my 35s installed I had a steering wheel wobble so I put my front tires up on my buddys wheel balancer and found out that they were both completely out of balance by like 8 ounces on one and 10 ounces on the other. I don't know what the hell those monkeys at discount tire did, but they weren't even close. Tore off the weights and re-balanced them myself and now the steering wobble is gone and thetruck rides smoother and quieter... Idiots

 

Fast food tire service. Mount 'em up, set between 45-68psi, half ass balance job..I'm sure the salesman mentioned the vehicle manufacturer really doesn't think that tire should be mounted on there to begin with, prolly not the recommended rating, truck gonna hit a road pebble, fly through the guardrail and leave the planet...but I digress.

Know what you mean they can't even balance my small ass tires.. I have slight wobble they can't seem to get rid of and my weights have flown off more than once

 

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because it was Black Friday and they were slammed busy, but for those tires to be that far off is just negligence in my book

 

8oz is a lot. That's a half a tall boy.
Depending on who you ask, they are supposed to be professionals at what they do and should have set the tire pressure down to the quarter ounce, not to mention maybe getting them balanced properly, because tire wear, load safety concerns, etc...

You're absolutely right, they were busy, the more tires out the door, the bigger the bonus. Like undercooked fries at the peak of lunch time.
