Depends on where you go... some places here sell "rebuild" kits. Which I was told "has everything you need to rebuild a grandfathered mag" which translates to "we took apart the magazine and are selling it in pieces"

oh I know, most just go up to WY and buy them or any other state you happen to be going through or family member mailing them in. still some what illegal based how the law reads, but extremely difficult to enforce being there is so many and majority of them have no date stamps as most of you know. pointless law based where we are in the country.

When I was stationed in cali I bought a 1911. But it wasn't legal to sell there. So they turned it into a single shot pistol. Blocked it. Put a 10 inch barrel on it. Looked stupid. Sold it to me. I walked out came back in they put it back together. Loop holes man. Haha
