Also used to describe useless bullshit sold by vets/former LEO guys that is cheap, ineffective, and stupid. But it's made by Private Whogivesafuck or Officer Tard, therefore it must cost $350 and be touted as the greatest thing since sliced turkey.

Seriously? Benelli blows Remy out of the water. Remington's QC shouldn't even be said to exist anymore. Their fit & tolerances suck, their finishes suck, and their new products suck the most. R51 is in the Ruger LCP tier of suckage.

Back to scatterguns. The 870 is iconic, and if you can find a twenty year old model, great. But every Remy Versa Max at a 3Gun competition has to be apologized for by its owner, and I've seen the forend assembly actually come undone on an 870 in competition as well. If you've got the scratch, Benelli every single time.

Also, shotgun for home defense? Do you live on a farm? If you've got an apartment or live on a developed block, run a low grain pistol cartridge.

Its for the ranch. So everything from rabits to mountain lion is what this gun will be expected to deal with.

You want 3.5" chambering, or just 2.75/3"?

The Tacticool answer to this is the FN Mk 46 or Mk 48 depending on your reloading, tracer ammo optional.

In my opinion Jake you do not need the super nova for what you are planing. The traditional November will work fine. There is no reason to spend the extra money on a super when the gun is going to bounce around in a truck or tractor.

its the availability to add things to the supernova that i like more. a shell carrier on the action on the nova replaces the trigger pins with a bolt. and if you tighten it to much people have been having problems where as the supernova is tapped on the top of the action and will not effect anything mounting there but we will see what tacorocko can do. i have seen the super for the same price as the nova on gun broker. speaking of, whats peoples opinion on gun broker? never ordered a gun online

I've had the regular Nova and it's been awesome for the past 5 years. Think I got it under $300 too.

I run the Nova as duck hunting gun. I only had one problem when I first bought it, and that was a light strike on the primer. Got it fixed and I have had no problems since. I love the gun and you can't pass up the price on it.
