Have two of them for dual tire airing up.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008PZ7LMW/

I was going to get one of the valve stem deflators, but now i can hook up two tires at a time and deflate them pretty quickly.

You notice mine are closed, so when there is pressure to them, but not connected to a valve stem, they aren't leaking air. Some are open, so they always flow.

But when connected, it'll allow air to flow from the tire, deflating them, or balancing pressure if i have two connected to two tires.

It's nice that its realized that its an issue, but raising the penalty will not stop the issue, and MAYBE cause a decrease of a few percent.

Problems are changed with proactive education and training, reactive fines after the issue is already ingrained in their everyday life wont fix anything. It'll just hit lower income families exponentially harder and cause other issues. Kid/parent driving to work in a beater to try and support their family gets hit with a $500 ticket is going to leave the table empty a few extra times for the next month. Rich kid/parent will throw a few hundred to a lawyer that he contacted while texting and driving.

The slim chance that you get pulled over and get an increased fine for running a red light (most dangerous daily traffic offense) vs speeding do nothing to decrease the percentage doing it...

Those are the one time I find them to be appropriate... to get people to pull their heads from their devices.

I wonder if future cars will have some type of interrupter built in to stop texting while driving unless if that is too much liability on auto industry?

It sounds great, until someone needs to contact in an emergency, or some other reason and it keeps blocking an emergency call. Future cars wont need us driving, so you can do what you want.

Agree with this as well. It needs to start with education more than anything. When they implemented the same thing in CA the penalties did scared some people from doing it any longer... But most still didn't give a crap due to proof by law enforcement. All they needed to do was drop their phone on the seat and say they did nothing of the sort. Law enforcement tried to acquire the ability to check a persons phone, but that was a no go real quick due to privacy.

Yup, and any increased fine (and thinking that it'll increase revenue for the state, not the police or SO like people think it does) will be negated by the increase in people fighting the ticket. With the increase of people using it for navigation... there is usually a loophole that lets you use navigation. Cant prove that for a simple traffic violation.

They bumped up the fines in FL for motorcycles doing wheelies to something like $1400 for first offense. Only thing that changed is it made motorcycles run from police more since they said eff that, I'm not stopping for a $1400 ticket!

Obviously the result of more motorcycles running were more people being shoveled off the road into a plastic bag for identification. One of the last MC crashes I saw was a bike hitting a slowing (~15mph) car while traveling ~140mph. Sheered the trunk/rear door from the car like a can opener, largest part left of the bike was a portion of the engine block, debris scattered for a few football fields and he flew ~240 feet before he contacted the pavement. He actually stayed together, but...didnt live.
