    But seriously, every time I read a thread about switching to iridiums in this engine, everyone who does it (with no apparent issues) or suggests it is all about the service interval. They rarely if ever mention anything else. Meanwhile the people saying you shouldn't are talking about firing temps, ignition systems and resistance, need for checking/regapping at least as often as you'd be changing the coppers anyway, performance issues (that some had when they tried it or have seen in vehicles they worked on), etc. 90% or more of it is probably anecdotal and worth about as much as any comment on the internet (and technical arguments are often made up or exaggerated bs as well), but some of it comes from techs. I'd trust your opinion/experience over that 90% any day. Now, if there's still the two camps amongst techs, well then... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
