    lol, it's simple programming in the digital section of the dash. Almost all the 5th gen 4Runners have it. WTF, that seriously blows my mind.

    Alright, thinking cap time.

    I will be stripping the crap Paint off my bed rack and trying again. Since maybe the cause was the primer, what primer would be best (aluminum tube)?

    First go round was Rustoluem Primer (2 coats) and 3 coats of their auto/ metal flat black.

    Going with bed liner this go round.

    Did you use regular primer or self etching? I've had good luck with this one on aluminum
