    That's kind of special...
I see where it needs to be able to press the little needle valve too.
What does the connection look like on the inside of the stove? Any chance to cut or modify it from there and have the female threaded end make the turn?

edit, whoops, I mean the male threaded end. I should not have assumed gender...

Thought about it, but brazing that tiny line seems like trouble...

I could maybe see trying to create the same fitting out of a 90, unless they use a custom size and thread.

Me, I would fly down and buy a 24+ YO Diesel Landcruiser/ Hilux vehicle (Can import to USA "as is" at 25 years) and ship it back.

ok, what I'm seeing here is a don't fuck with it scenario or you might lose your eyebrows.

Prolly the best you can hope for is to gently bend, tweak that aluminum bracket and attempt to get the thing pointed in the direction best you can, without kinking, cracking, splitting, or breaking that tiny brass supply tube.

    Official Post

I'm now driving OldManTan again. The Tundra went away and I purchased a V8 4runner for Crissy. The Tundra, for me was just going to be too large for trail usage. I did bounce my way through some difficult stuff, I just didn't feel like trashing it to for it the places I wanted to go.

OldManTan will be getting some of the parts that were meant to go on the Tundra along with continuing the build. Crissy's 4runner will get a lift and tires, possibly a front bumper at the end of the summer.

An older pic of OMT but it should be getting going in the build thread here soon.

Ish... The line will rub on the tailgate due to the line coming straight out of the stove and also may be a little tight... I could get an extension. Oh wait, custom sized bs hose i cannot get an extension for. :p

Left a message with the site i purchased it through.

I'm not going to pay more money to correctly modify an overpriced stove. I bet it could be $100 if they didn't spend half their man hours custom building fittings. They probably roll the hinges in house also.

Doesn't sit well with me to spend so much money and get a knowingly (on sellers end) inferior product.

that's not good at all for mass production.
Maybe just a bump in the road, lol. Put the swing out on the other side of the bed?

Gas is on water heater side, water heater is on topper panel side.

What stoves were you suggesting again that would work with lp?

I'll likely be replacing this one.

I need to stop listening to suggestions on here... Buy cover King seat covers based on recommendations... AutoZone quality at almost wet okole pricing. Now this pos.

Any white gas Coleman stove can be converted to LP.
Walmart has the best prices on new ones, they are cheaply built at this point. A pawn shop will have older models that are much more desirable, heavier duty construction, better valves, etc...for far less $$$
The plus side is the stove will come with a fuel tank that can be run on white gas or unleaded. Very handy if you run out of white gas and propane, just siphon a tankful and cook on.

newer stoves are mostly dual fuel ready. Older stoves will need the generator modified to run unleaded. The LP conversion uses it's own device and replaces the tank assembly completely.

The 425 size is what your aluminum stove is now. These prices are bullshit too, full list from the source. Walmart will have them for around $40.00, or they used to 20 years ago.

Pawn shop all day long for these.
