That sucks! How did they get stolen? Doesn't seem like an easy task.

My trailer was in a locked secured camera watched storage yard, 12 utility trailers and 2 RV's were stolen in 92 minutes according to the police.

 

Oh so it was while you were out. Regardless, that sucks.

 

Yeah I was actually in Seattle on business when I got a call from the owner of the storage facility. They had 37 seconds of video before the cameras were destroyed, it was a well planned out theft for sure.

 

As much as I'd like to just go and get a new bike today, I'm trying to chip away at some student loan debt before I do.
Best case scenario, I'll have a bike in the fall. Worst case, I'll have a bike next spring. I'd really like to grab a bike from back home and ride with you guys until then.

 

I've wanted a bike for over a year, since I told the son we would be getting bikes, got a great deal on his right before Christmas, so that worked out great for his present, and I just happen to find my bike on FB for a smokin deal that I couldn't pass on. If it wasn't for the deal I found, I would still be bikeless lol

 

If I can find a bike soon enough I'll have an extra for a little while.

 

My CBR was stolen in 2009 or 2010 when I lived at Arapahoe and Parker. I worked late, parked under the awning and didn't lock the wheel to the post since I had to be up early, it was gone within a few hours after I got up. My complex was gated and my parking spot wasn't visible from the street so I bet on someone who lived in the complex is who took it. Months later someone on a bike forum I was a part of said they saw it up in Westminster. I had already claimed it through insurance and ended up buying a KX250F with the monies

 

can't believe how many of you have had bikes stolen...

people suck.

 

I'd gladly take you up on that offer if the time comes. I don't have any gear, so I'll be rocking steel toed work boots, jeans, and an American flag cutoff.

 

my GSXR750 got picked up and thrown in a van. caught three guys trying to do it ~ a month before it happened. guess their buddies came back and finished the job.

 

Do you still have your gear?

I ride naked. But I wear boots. And a helmet.

 

Not really. I may have some old Berik boots w/ busted buckles and a cracked helmet back at my folks place, otherwise no way I'm fitting in my old shirt/pants. Sold my knee braces and leatt with the bike before I went to school because beer money.

 

I have all my gear in WA. Helmet, boots, shirt, pants, shin guards, goggles, gloves and a chest protector.

I have a buddy in Douglas that said all campgrounds in that shit hole have been sold out on that weekend for months now. May be a bit of an exaggeration, though. Cant' confirm.

I was poking around in the WY BS thread a while back and it sounded like a group was planning a trip in the W/NW part of the state that weekend to catch the eclipse.
