Pretty sure Jon dug this 97 bumper out of the Dead Sea. The bolts and retainer clip thingamajiggies were fused together with rust. Two busted bolts and one hacksawed I finally separated the chrome bumper from the lower valence.

Then sanded the chrome with an random orbital sander, 220 grit, wiped down with degreaser, self-etch primed and painted semi gloss black. The black top coat is still drying that's why it looks blotchy. Not my best work but good enough to get hammered with gravel and mag chloride. Tomorrow onto the lower valence. Just gonna give it a serious douching, wipe down with degreaser, prime and paint with the same semi-gloss. My previous lower valence project involved vinyl dye and it did not hold up well in the long run.

    Sanded

You missed the 'wife' part. The purse is a shared purse.

And Charles likes carrying it. :hattip:

Does it like pairing it with one of those short-sleeved shorts jumper things dudes are wearing now?

I was in NYC for the past week and saw two guys wearing those things. Took every ounce of restraint to not either 1. mock them or 2. asked them "wtf are you thinking?"

    And so it begins....

With high winds and high temperatures, the danger of fire outbreak rises. Two metro-area counties have enacted restrictions on what residents are allowed to burn - and when to burn.

The sheriffs in Jefferson and Boulder counties have enacted stage one fire restrictions. Usually, these restrictions are implemented because of a heightened risk of wildfires breaking out, i.e. dry conditions that are favorable to fires.

Restrictions in JeffCo don't extend to the entirety of the county; only to areas west of Highway 93, west of C-470 and south and west of intersection CO 121 and C-470 all the way to the Platte River.

The following activities are currently prohibited in JeffCo in the aforementioned areas:

➤ Having any part of a recreational campfire, except a campfire in a permanent fire grate
➤ Smoking except within an enclosed vehicle or building, developed recreation site or while stopped in a barren area of at least six-diametrical feet.
    ➤ Open burning (bonfires)
    ➤ Fireworks

Boulder County has implemented similar restrictions - but only for part of the county, specifically the mountain areas. A map is embedded below - it's basically the entire western half of the county.

What the Boulder County ban prohibits:

➤ Having any part of a campfire
    ➤ Fireworks
➤ Shooting guns for any reason except for hunting with a license
➤ Using a chainsaw without a spark arrester installed - even if you do have one, you must also keep a fire extinguisher with you at all times
    ➤ Torches
    ➤ Explosives

Almost every taxi in NYC is a Prius.

I wouldn't say anything in NYC is excellence. But that's just me. :drunk:

    The Met is.

Spent 6 hours there. The Arms & Armor exhibit is insane. So is the Ancient Emperors, endless priceless artwork and the other pieces that make up the 2 million pieces in that museum.

Just finished up some regular maintenance. Changed oil, rotated tires, greased drive shaft (lol), and greased UCAs. Glad to not have to worry about any of that stuff for the rest of the summer
