That's a 1st gen Tundra/Tacoma VS 2nd gen Tacoma. Hell there are some Donahoe racing 2nd gen Tacoma coilovers out there with a full circle top hat. I've rebuilt a few of them.

What type of gas mileage are you getting from the 1st gen Tundras w/v8?

Thanks, but I wasn't kidding when I said it was old - 90s at least. The model number is literally 1A10BC which is more a definition of type than model, the serial number isn't even called a serial number, and there are no date stamps or codes on it... anywhere, not even in the metal. It's also less white and more off-white/beige... and I was mildly surprised to see how much paint fade/change there was when I moved the bracket around on the cylinder looking for covered up info. :D

Currently around 14 mpg, but I have a lead foot. Highway trip to Laramie I got around 17.

Busy! I haven't been to the other one, so I couldn't really comment on that. Otherwise nice and a nice outdoor section too.

So I started my check list for my 200k service today. First order of business was an ATF flush. After draining the pan I put the drain plug back in and set my torque wrench to 15 ftlb. Unfortunately the wrench never clicked and the bolt just kept spinning...:annoyed: Luckily Groove Toyota had a pan in stock and I made it there just in time to double the cost of my DIY ATF flush. Oh well. I hope the rest of my check list goes smoother.

ATF flushes always scare me... But hopefully she works after you get it back together!

Everything works as it should. It just took me longer and cost me more than I anticipated. All in all I’m glad I did it after seeing the fluid that came out.
