Only if unfounded. Working as a FF/Medic for a loooong time now I’ve looked into the eyes of many ladies who have been sexually assaulted, and that look is one you won’t forget. I understand majority of these current claims are of misconduct but some are borderline assault. So with all of these ladies finding the courage to step forward to put themselves in front of the public opinion to hopefully bring these Dbags to justice is something to be applauded. Now to flip the coin, if the accusations are without merit, I firmly believe prosecution of said person should follow.

 

This is my concern.

It’s a very valid one at that. I’ve seen many cases with my own eyes that have gone from major accusations, judgement was quickly dealt and folks got into hot water only to find out after investigation was started that claims were unfounded. It’s a rocky situation period. Especially in my line of work where being in the back of the ambulance where it’s just you and the patient. No body cams or survellience cams allowed and if they claim something, the investigation is a tough road to go down because it’s your words against theirs.

 

every night at the bar there is a round of nice tight hugs and a friendly pat on the butt. I never once have been offended by it.

The current ones in the CO Senate and House are not ridiculous. These guys are scumbags and abusing their position of power and authority.

 

If I was single and childless this is the route I'd go.

 

Top seems large enough for my wife and I. Thinking a sleeping platform would work below that for our 2 kids. I would definitely have to build some drawers and organize the bed, but it's tempting

 

don't misunderstand my comment. People jumping on the bandwagon is a very real thing when they are looking to get something for nothing.
I know of several men who have had careers destroyed when somebody makes an allegation that wasn't true. The problem with all this is that most of it can't be proven, and none of HAS to be proven either.
Again don't misunderstand me, women have a right to a safe workplace.
But don't you think men should have the same right? Not to have to live in fear of being falsely accused and lose not only a long term career, but perhaps an innocent loving family as well?
Something to think about.

Unfortunately being falsely accused by a female of sexually related allegations will now become easier, but reporting of actual true sexual misconduct will become easier too. It’s hard for me to look negative towards the female side because I’m certain in this man driven world it is hard to be heard in any regard, but the female side needs to look at the potential destruction one could bestow upon someone if false accusations are laid upon them.

 

Especially when shit like this happens... all a fake rape accusation does is hurt those who have actually been raped/harassed. Sure, every woman/man who comes forward should be taken seriously, but shouldn't be believed without some sort of proof.

Just watched the Rolling Stone documentary where they reported on the group rape at U of Va, which ended up being fabricated (or at least partially), and it majorly fucked their journalistic credibility.

I agree. For every real allegation there is probably a "piling on" one.

And in today's day and age of instant gratification and social media... due process is a thing of the past.

But I also have a feeling there is going to be an allegation from a male real soon. And rightfully so.
