My wife's family live in France and they go on a yearly ski trip to Switzerland. I am hoping next year I can join them since Haley won't be 2 yet and she will fly for free.

Bruh you telling me. We flew with our 5 month old at the time earlier this spring and all went well, but efffff flying now she is >1 years old. We did a road trip from DFW to breck/denver in October when she was 10-11months old and it went great. I’ll never ever fly with a kiddo again, just too much bullshit to happen. I got patted down every time cause of her formula and that added lots of time to the security check. I love driving so it’s all we do now, just plan accordingly.

I hear ya. I guess I’m just over TSA and airline companies. I know a lot of things that go on behind security scenes and TSA is a fucking joke. I don’t have the patience to have some airline jockey telling me my seat is now taken for over booking or something similar.

I hear ya. I havent been behind the scenes, but its pretty obvious that its all a joke and a waste of everyones time and money.

But until I get my pilots license, I'll have to deal with it.

Flying out of Denver my wife asked the TSA agent if she should remove our 7month old daughter from the front carrier she was wearing and the agent said no you can walk through the metal detector wearing her. Right when she walked through the metal detector another agent goes oh since you wore her in the carrier we have to swab your hands for bomb residue. Wouldn't you know it she tested positive for bomb residue. Did a pat down and tested her again. Tested possitive again. Then two tsa agents took her into the back room to pat her down some more. Then tested the swab on another machine and she passed. So stupid! Barely made our flight. Morale of the story, remove your kid from the child carrier before going through security.

Yea I get bomb swabbed every time regardless of kiddo or not. Kiddo has always been in stroller going through security for us. That’s some crazy shit dude, hate y’all had to deal with that. If you have formula to deal with, make sure you have extra because those fuckers will open it and use some for testing.

Give an inch, they take three miles.

One more reason added to the list for me to wrap it before I tap it.

Its on my list of things to do. Seems like a pretty damn good investment. Waiting on a friend to become an instructor. :anonymous:

    And it'd be hobby.

It’s a very worth good investment if you have the time and money. Hobby or job, either way it’s some good shit. Commercial guys do very well in the bank department.

Yeah, we had frozen breast milk. Since it's frozen they can't test it. After all my wife went through they just opened up the cooler looked at the frozen milk and said we were good to go with it.
Luckily we got to the airport in Denver 3 hours early. We asked the tsa precheck lady if we could cut the line and she said NOPE! Waited in line at security for over an hour. Took almost 2 hours to get though security. When we flew out of Tampa on the way back we didn't even say anything to the TSA agent at the line and he goes oh you have a baby you get to skip the line. Took our daughter out of the carrier walked through the metal detector and nobody said a thing. We were through security in 10 mins. Kicker is we were so paranoid with what we dealt with in Denver we got to the airport 3 1/2 hours early... a lot of waiting with no cheap food options past security.

Yup been through exact same just about. Yea Tampa is a weird airport once past security. Orlando is complete fuckery if you’ve never flown there. Portland was real easy with the kiddo.

Yes it is, but it sure was nice taking the boat out and drinking margaritas on the beach in December.

That's why I never really fly anymore. End up driving 45k+ miles a year, but I still enjoy it.
