It doesn't go all the way through yet, but if I shove my thumb in there it does feel pretty crunchy. My pictures just got sent off to Toyota today so I'm now waiting on approval. I will be in a rental Nissan frontier for 2 to 3 months waiting on parts. When the parts come in I have to pick my truck back up from the dealership so I can take it home and remove the welded on sliders, bumper, winch, bed rack, and other non factory parts.
If you haven't taken yours in to get checked I would recommend it. @crolison said his rust issues showed up in a very short period of time. I think mine did too because I didn't see this on the frame last year during the first recall and I was advised to take it in when Toyota rolled out the extended recall.

    Possibly but...
I’m not going to chance it for 12.00 and a waist of my time sitting in line again if it didn’t work.

I'd say look at the Elizabeth/Franktown area, but housing prices out here have gone up 150k+ in the last couple years too.
When I bought my first home in Denver back in 2002 I never thought I'd own a house worth over a half a million dollars... Shits crazy here.

Right I've had every vehicle of mine registered in Jackson County for years now!

They'll still put the cap on the tester and then you've just waisted your free retest when it fails again.

I doubt it's actually failing.. just a certain percentage that'll fail. I've known people who had the "bad" cap pass after they "went and bought a new one"

Is that what they did. I saw them pull a cap and connect it to something. They actually test the dam thing. Im not taking @aero3685 advice anymore.

Well my cap is a 16year old cap. I think I got my money's worth out of it.

They put the cap on a pressure tester at the very end, it's entirely possible that an employee can goof the test and cause a good cap to fail. Some inspectors are lazy and don't even bother testing them at all, it's a shity low paying job and very easy to give zero fucks. I worked for Air Care Colorado when I was younger and I passed countless cars for having cats, air systems, and o2 sensors without even bothering to check. IMO it's not worth the gamble of having to pay for another test and a gas cap.

    It was solid advice!

    True

Maybe not worth it. It's all just a money grab anyways.

Anybody ever replace windshield glass on a 2002 4runner? I got an internet quote of about $204.00. Does that seem about right?

Seems about right. I had Safelite come to my place and replace the one on the 01 4Runner and it was about $250 a couple of years ago.

    Four years this month.

    No ring. We both agree.

She would move in but she works downtown and the commute would be brutal from where I live. As it is she just walks to the bus from her apartment and it takes her a block from her work.

definitely the biggest problem with dating at a later age, both parties have careers, homes and possibly kids. Relocating is not always the best option.
Best to stick with dating much younger chicks with roommates, low self esteem and daddy issues.
