I read a scientific study that they believed it was true, wasn't even on the internet, but a real book, so it was defiantly true

Listen, if I get the tortellini and it's expired, I'm still eating that thing. It was the only good one lol. Although I've heard the new ones aren't bad.

As far as the heating element, I just heard from a couple buddies over in the sandbox that they changed it (I wrote removed before, I meant changed). Didn't personally verify, so I could definitely be wrong. Just figured people got tired of us all making MRE bombs and tear gas during meals lol.

He was on a rig though... I shit you not. And he wasn't an engineer.

I just don't know what he would have been able to use, other than a redline.

Chili Mac was my favorite haha. There wasn't really one I hated.. it was food.

I did see a video recently of "College kids try MREs" and the ones they ate were totally different from any I've seen, one was an Italian sandwich that looked like a hot pocket, so maybe those ones don't have anything to heat them with..

We had cold weather ones in Alaska, those were the best I've had!

Well I guess they don't have to use these great instructions anymore with no heating element "A rock or something" haha

My buddy has a couple cases laying around somewhere still. I should see if I can get some from him. Ya know, for scientific purposes.

On Convoy's we would just toss the main package on the hot engine, worked pretty good. That way we had plenty of material for Bombs or better yet Tear gas (Provided we could find unused Tabasco).

Yep, it was the preferred option but extremely hard to get people to not use the Tabasco so we had the key ingredient.

I tried to trade my laxative gum for it. Never worked. Don't know why.

Mine was the M&M's and Pound Cake which I think they have stopped including. I remember being Deployed and fighting over the hard as rock M&M's- you either got the chocolate or broke a tooth, win/ win either way.
