House across the street is for sale so I went over to check it out.
They have a space ship shower in the third "bath".

Don’t wanna rain on your reasurch butadding a sub panel proably requires permits, which require a licensed person. I might be wrong.
    :gossip:But then again, I won’t tell if you don’t.

Replacing a toilet or a water heater requires a permit.
Care to guess how often that happens?

    Dirt bike peeps...

Went and tried on helmet and boots today. Apparently some boots are more open at the top for pants and pads to go into.

Tried on some Alpinestars that fit great, were only $160 and we're tighter at the top, no bulge for pants. Would've bought them but figured I'd research the differences.

My goals are some pavement (only to get to dirt). When on dirt, just tooling around fs roads, double track and easy single track. I won't have any intention of "sending it" for a while.

So I'm leaning towards boots that are tighter at the top so pants go over the boots. Pros, cons?

I’m just reminding on the public inter webs. What you do on your property is not my consern :p
But I will say if you have other work done later that requires permits and inspection it can come back to bite you if they see it’s not on any permits.

I had a friend out in the sticks install an expansion to there place and later rented it. The renters and then later had problems and somehow the county was told they added it without the permits and had to tear it down.

And theres the people who purchase beautiful houses... they get destroyed by a fire and insurance tells them that the county permits only show a 1,000sf studio, not a 3400 sf custom.

Positives and negatives with everything, but if its simple and you can do it...

I don't think pants in the boots is very comfortable.
Depends on the pants really. Some mx pants I have are short with a cuff on the bottom that goes in the boots, that's fine. I've had other pants that were straight legged and they were uncomfortable in the boots. Keeps them out of the chain though so there's that.

Not quite, it was either a mobile home or modular home. Was a few hundred sqft.

May or may not have added a bathroom and individual septic to a garage turned rec room. Or extended a seaptic dranige feild when the ground glazed over :anonymous:

Yeah, didn't seem like it would be comfortable having a bunch of stuff in the boots.

I've replaced water heater, converted center island electric range to a much nicer gas range, dishwasher, , I stalled a 220 oil heater in the garage, off the old electric range circuit, built a shed, deck, etc....
Never once pulled a permit. :burp:

Not sure what you meant by the boots. I've never seen them like you described, however there are in boot pants, and outside of the boot pants. Inside the boot are better in every way and nothing uncomfortable about them.

Except when your in mud /snow and it gets thrown into your boots.
    I vote over the boot!

If he gets cought in a wild rain storm it’ll pool in the boot

But what about water and crap leaking down your pants into your boots and having wet socks.

The alpinestars were fairly tight. The other brand felt nice and tight at the bottom like the A-stars but when I stood up straight, there was a good inch of space in front of my shin and they were tightened up quite a bit.

I have some adventure alpinestars I picked up right before Performance Cycle moved. I ride my tenere with them and haven't had any problems on double track or ~14,000 miles

I would say pant over boot just so rain is not funneled into the boot!

    o_O

I can't even count the number of hours I've ridden in rain and never had a wet sock except when fully submerging the boot for more than a few seconds.

Really.... I just replaced my water heater this past summer. Up graded to a big fucker that barley fit in the closet. No permit. I'm not moving it again.
