Factory, sounds like the seat covers came out of their attachment points due to the size of the person using the seats. No burns to the customer other than ego.

My cousins suburban has burn marks on the rear leather from oem heaters.

That's my style again. For once, the old man was right! :bananadead:. Then again, you still add crank starts to your vehicles because they are "failsafe".

Can you get a relay with a timer built in?

Would like to wire up the heater in the sparco, and if it was on say a 15 minute timer seems like that would alleviate any potential hazards.

Definitely adding the heated seat option to the PRP seats I’m going to purchase this summer. Love the heated seats I have in the car.

You could also use a thermocouple rig and turn it off when it reaches a certain temp.

    Get a really cheap timer.
Wait for timer to catch fire.
    Profit.

I threw one of the Dorman heated seat kits on/in my driver's seat in the taco. Love that thing. Use it pretty much every morning during the winter. At some point I'll stop being lazy and put one in the passenger front as well, but only so they match and it satisfies my O.C.D. I couldn't care less about my passengers being cold.

On the 2006 and 2005 you can. Not sure if it changed after. That’s how I got my light to turn off

I thought there was some way to disable the TPMS monitor system by pulling headline against rear of truck where Antenna for it is located? I think right next to the TPS report coversheet! :D
