Yup, I can never leave well enough alone. Every house I have owned gets ripped apart. Even redid a bunch of stuff in the new build we bought a couple of years ago.

    Never enough
On my way to work this morning I was hearing some concerning noises coming from my drivers side front wheel well. I am hoping that those of you with more know-how than I can give me some things to look at/for to try and isolate where the issue is coming from. The noise sounds similar to a shock topping out, but to me it seems more like there is slop in something and two parts are coming together over road imperfections than being pushed apart by the spring. I am hoping it just has something to do with the cold and ice, but I would like to be sure. I did a quick visual inspection in the wet, icy parking lot at work this morning and nothing seems to be obviously broken, missing, or loose. Any ideas of where to start looking when I get home tonight are greatly appreciated!

If it makes any difference the noise seems to happen more often and louder over depressions in the road surface like potholes, dips, and recessed sewer caps than over something like a speed bump.

The suspension didnt look very icy at all. A little bit around the perimeter of the wheel well in the normal spots but I would say overall pretty minimal.

Visually, yes. I also grabbed ahold of the UCA and gave it a shake and it didnt seem to have any play. I was in the middle of the parking lot though and trying not to get my work clothes too dirty, so I will have to check again for sure at home tonight.

EDIT: I do know that I need to replace my UCA bushings because I stupidly packed too much grease in them over the summer.
