Does anyone have access to a heavy press that could help me close these 7/16” s hooks around some 5/16” chain? I would be more than happy to pay for your services with either cash or beer. I would like to avoid heating them if possible to not affect their material properties and for my own safety because I am a clutz and would probably burn the shit out of myself. Looking to get these done within the next 2 weeks. I am located in the southwest metro, but willing to travel. Thanks!

I don’t mind traveling and I’ll get to see your sweet garage. I’m free most evenings and weekends. I’ll PM you.

Hi. I'm new to doing stupid shit to my truck, especially since I'm doing stupid things to my car simultaneously. I'll be installing the TRD Pro suspension kit on my truck here eventually. What's the better option for rears, AAL, new leaf pack? I don't tow, don't carry much of anything heavy, and don't have a ton of miles on my Taco now. But I also don't like doing things more than once, so if new leaf pack is better, even if it's more $$, I'd just go that route first. Any suggestions? I probably won't install it until I get new tires (and prob wheels) since the stock Dunlop GrandTrecs or whatever the heck they are will probably look a little silly with a lift.

Kinda funny, as that's what I'm researching on the Cougar, rear leafs, as those will be getting changed out when I get it back from the body shop.

I appreciate it. I know I wasn’t very patient with our previous conversation and for that I apologize. I figured I had burnt that bridge, so I appreciate your willingness to still do this for me. Please either PM or text me your address.

Did you ever try long handled bolt cutters?
I've done exactly that with them before. They won't actually cut anything until it's bent together and stops moving.

I have not tried that. I don’t have bolt cutters and was afraid of cutting into the metal trying to bend such thick stuff.

Awesome! I'll shoot you over something this week once I have a chance to get everything modeled up and make sure it's all good dimensionally. :)
