    I ride a single speed road bike with a flip flop hub in the rear to make it a fixie, be careful if you are used to coasting, I've gotten ejected before on a fully fixed road bike

    I have to look at my frame tomorrow it's at my rental to see if the rear hub is horizontal I'll do single speed or diagonal I'll do fixie. I wanted to do the work my self to have a down town cruiser. Is it going to be more of a pain in my ass to make this happen or should I just go buy one?

    Mine was around 350 to 400 built by myself and a buddy, I'd say keep your gears and throw a pair of maxxis hookworms or slicks on it for speed. I kinda wish I had gears at times, hills suck case I'm like a 32 cog front and 13 cog rear.

    Nice!!!! I might be in the market for a 29ner at some point, something I can do more cross country riding with. Right now it's either road biking or chair lifts to downhill riding
