Yes, frame looks good or at least I don't notice anything with it. Haven't seen double bolt locks since I left Chicago but I have it now...

I had this bolt here seize when I did my leafs. I didn't have the time/willingness to try a bunch of stuff so I took the leaf out with the shackle seized to it and got a new shackle. $50-ish at the local auto store.

If you are adding new bushing/new leafs / new shackles. Then i would get some long sawzall blades and just cut them out.

For seized bolts/leaf springs, just get a can of fluid film. It'll break up all that rust, and be a ton easier. It's one of the items it's specifically for.

Well, the good news is I'll likely have the opportunity to get frustrated with springs on the Cougar first. 50 year old springs should be a good time. About the only positive there is that it's at least an original CO car, and not a rusted together mess like an east coast car would be. Still, much fun is expected there.

I would think my low mile, seldom drive '15 shouldn't be too difficult, famous last words.

What I really need is an unlimited car fund budget. It's hard to budget for two vehicles at once. I'll just get a few dozen 0% promo balance transfer credit cards and keep moving balances around until I need to take out a home equity loan to pay them off. Sound financial words of wisdow there for everyone. If at first you can't afford, borrow, borrow, and borrow some more!

    MESA COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)
    – After going viral Sunday on social media, the great snow cat heist of 2018 appears to be resolved- at least partly.

CBS4 has learned tips led law enforcement to the stolen snow cat in Mesa County after it went missing sometime Sunday morning from the Turn Table parking lot in Minturn.

John Brandenburg, one of the owners of the iconic snow cat painted like General Lee, says after posting the picture of the vehicle on Facebook they received “thousands of shares” and hundreds of tips. Those tips helped track the stolen cargo west along Interstate 70 to the Grand Junction area.

One of the owners even took to the air, flying over the interstate and other Western Slope highways looking for the trailered snow cat.

The snow cat was hidden in a garage in Mesa County. Deputies with the SWAT team raided the home in the 1800 block of Deer Park Circle after the suspect, identified as Jason Cuervo, barricaded himself inside and refused to comply with commands. Cuervo, 27, was able to get away and remains on the loose.

Cuervo has several outstanding warrants for his arrest that include felony warrants. Cuervo is described as a white male, 180 pounds, and 6-foot-1. Anyone with information on his whereabouts or sees him is asked to call 911 immediately.

Next weekend is a snow cat jamboree on Vail Pass the owners would like to get the cat back by then, but that remains unclear.

The snow cat is being housed in an impound lot.
