Build a small platform and cushion to hold your feet up on the side of the bed you sleep on. Or chop your legs off at the knees to be more normal.

I am thinking this layout so I can do what you said maybe even take a foam queen mattress and cut it up so it fits in the space. My wife is 5'3"so she doesn't care.

Effing Australians make the best travel trailers. Badass suspension, all metal underneath, articulating hitches, lower, narrower, trail ready, even waterproof for stream crossings (and to avoid poisonenss snakes from sneaking in).

My brother got a couple of these bad boys in. You can order any of them. Though pricey, they're kinda cool.

Freaking Travel trailer interest rate from USAA is 7.75% going to put $20k from the house towards it right away. Otherwise it's like $33k worth of interest over 15 years for a $50k loan. Object is to pay the thing off as soon as freaking possible!

I really like the Lance trailers. Check em out!!!! If I had to do it again, I would have tried to find more money and got one of those. 4season and really well made. Not crazy money like the air streams or Oliver’s.

Yep, If I was going to pay full price for a camper (I have bought 2, both 2nd Hand) it would be a Lance. Know several who only had glowing things to say and when I have toured them, seem very well made.

I was looking into cheaper options at first like the lance. Everybody who has a Bigfoot fiberglass trailer absolutely loves them. Olivers are out of my price range and airstreams are too fancy for me.

Why not do a long term rental if it’s just for 3 months? This way you have all your cash still in hand and can take your time buying one after you’ve established where you are going to live. People on RV Share do long term rentals and give great rates for them. Co worker did one for 3 months and cost I think around 3k? This way your aren’t saddled with a payment that will negatively affect you purchasing another house. I say rent, then buy home then buy RV. But that’s just me.....I’d rather have my capital in my pocket for emergencies, potential new home issues with buying/repairing and then use whatever is left to put towards a new RV I had time to research especially one that fits my tow vehicle the best.

That was another thought I had. Didn't know about RV share I know if I rented from a dealership for 3 months it would be like $7-10k. It would almost be cheaper just to get cheap hotel rooms and just have a shorter trip. Because like you said I would rather put the money towards investment properties. It's a huge pill to swallow knowing I will lose $10k right off the batt buying a new trailer. If we did buy new though we would be keeping it for a long time getting our monies worth out of it. There are some used 21ft Bigfoot trailers out there for around $18-20k so that's an option as well. We still have time to look at all of our options. Not one to just throw money away on a whim

If it’s a viable option I would do extended stay hotel and bank the rest of my money. Have all the feels of home (kitchen, big bed, clothes washing etc) and it’s economical. Then you can maximize your current capital. But that’s juuuuust me.
