My Geico rates have gone up around 15% each year for the past 2 or 3 years now.

Same with progressive. I was told they went up statewide due to the increase in hail and auto accidents as people move here

I use Geico...but not for long. My car insurance costs went up 280% in less than 2 years simply by virtue of living in Denver proper (apparently Denver is pretty high up on the list of cities with exponential crash rate increases). To be fair, that may be the case with any insurance company. That being said, I'm not the one staring at my cell phone in one hand, touching myself with the other, sandwich in my mouth, head turned around to yell at my kids in the back, all while steering with my feet. But I get to pay when those fools crash.

Used to be on USAA for auto insurance (and happy with it), but due to an incident a few years back with my dog biting someone (loooong story) I wasn't able to get homeowner's insurance through them. Ended up with Farmer's, they've been good and the rates ended up being lower than USAA was offering anyway. So far, at least from the auto insurance side, they've been easy to work with (we got hit hard by the hail back in ... June?)

I used to commute on the bus into downtown before my job became 100% WFH. The most common thing I saw was people texting/on their phone. The second most common thing was people either with a newspaper or a book splayed open on the steering wheel. Makeup would be third on the list, drinking/eating next. About 70% of the people were at least doing one of these activities, if not multiple.

I use geico after the hands of allstate raped me.
I heard that you can get an agreed value policy through travelers (so you can insure a vehicle for a set price that'll actually cover it).
