I try and stay out of the mud...not to say the rock gardens here would be much easier on them... that said spining the open diff and having the tire catch on a rock is probably not much better lmao

Anybody know much or have Root Car Insurance? I too will be looking for another company after this Amica raping that transpired the last 2 years. I am skeptical of the low prices of Root so thought I would ask.

Yep, another lunch box locker. Supposed to be smoother than the loc rite, i'd say it was by about 5-8%.

Lets just say if i didnt live where it snowed id run a detroit year round

Yup, pretty much the same design too although some have more/less teeth that affect how harshly they engage

Thinking about welding up that front diff til I regear. I have manual hubs so it wouldn't really be a driveability issue or much different from an auto locker

It’ll be just like a locked arb.

Only issue I see with that is it’s almost winter... welded isn’t the best for that if your trying to turn. It tends to want to snow plow in my experience.

    The tacos have a7.5 correct?

Yep 7.5, never blew a ring and pinion.

My cvs were advance specials with lifetime warranty, and I took them to the same redneck store and they’d give me new ones in a heart beat..... while asking which trail I blew them up on

Ideally an ARB but we'll see where I'm at budget wise. An automatic would be alright if I twin sticked the tcase and had 2 low for better turning, otherwise turning in 4wd will be the same bitch whether it's welded or has an automatic locker
