I would think if you don’t open any of the electronics it should be fine. They should be waterproof. The windings should have a lacquer coating on them. Only issue could be the bearings

    Uh.

I'm not sure that's a great idea. I can't imagine that the gas residue would be too good for anything conductive. Have you thought about trying some electrical contact cleaner? I think CRC makes some automotive grade stuff

I think gasoline could potentially dissolve laquer

I’m more trying to clean the case of oil and grease without taking it apart, but looks like I’m taking it apart.

    Stuff and junk and things...
Got the steering rack out of the GX470 today. Wasn't really that bad of a job. The ITR's were way worn out after 193K and a moab weekend, OTR weren't that horrible. I hit BFR at speed and moved the LCA cam tabs. I'll toss a WELD bead behind them tomorrow and hope the spindle is OK and it will still align.

i haven't decided if I want to part it out yet or not but I am tempted to steal the gear case and front axle for my truck.

Would only work with driver drop teases.... but that is what the 3.4 manuals are correct?
