Is it just me or does it seem like there have been more issues with planes falling apart in the air over the past 18-24 months? There was that southwest flight that had an engine blow and a passenger got sucked out not too long ago, plus a few others I can't recall the specifics of.

What are mos people using on trail rides here? CB? Seems like HAM has gotten way more popular since I sold my FJ a few years ago.

Will I be fine with either?

 

Best bet is both, the fact that you can get a baofeng for $25 on Amazon makes it easy to have both.

I only have ham right now, won't add a cb until it's in a different rig...and hoping i won't have to .

Amateur radio license is inexpensive and easy to get as well.

 

Damn Taco has something blocking the airflow for the hvac vents. Doesn't matter which vent or outside vs recirculate, hot or cold.
Thinking the ac thingy may be clogged.

Bummer.. Have to cancel Sirius radio tomorrow before they start billing me some astronomical rate instead of the $35/6 months.

I bet they'll have a new promotion to get me to hang on for another 6 months.

 

CB sounds like muffled garbage compared to ham. Ham also has better range and more capabilities like APRS. I have both in the truck and HATE trail runs where coms rely on CB. I should probably just rip it out haha

I miss the days of multiple horn blasts and finger gestures. Simple and effective.

 

That has actually happened before, one got into the squirrel cage, built a nest, and died when i turned the blower on. Was a bit of a mess to clean out.
