I would never claim "you can get more exactly control...." because english is my native language.

I do have to wonder though how many people have needed to use their winch to get themselves unstuck and had their day just absolutely ruined by the fact that it took them 2 minutes to spool up the line instead of 1 minute and 10 seconds.

I'm sure that the slower speed (and the 12,000lb rating) are due to gearing. Gearing is a good thing. Aren't you thinking about regearing your diffs?

For that price I’d consider it. Can get the racelines alloy with steel ring for about 270, which isn’t terrible. (Especially compared to the recently ridiculous trail gears (400/per wtf).
Honestly at the mere 2lb gain from alum to steel, it’s hardly worth the price sometimes other than aesthetics. (44lb vs 46lb)

It's just for piece of mind if I'm camping and it snows, or whatever. Maybe pull a downed tree out of the way, unstick a 2nd or 3rd gen if the need arises, etc...

And when ya snatch block it, it’s even slower. I dont care about how fast it pulls me. I care that it does, each time, and doesn’t slip.

Does everyone have to tighten the mounting bolts for the Toyota cargo track thing in the bed?

I thought i heard some rattling noises in the bed and realized it was the track coming loose again. Maybe it's time to loctite all of the bolts.

More likely from the 24/7 dirt roads and abuse of said tires.

If they were rusty like all my tacoma bolts they’d probably stay still.

    Apparently. :annoyed:

Every bolt/nut I’ve pulled off has been wire wheeled (or terminal cleaner brush) and antiseized. It’s mostly mid chassis bolts that go through the frame. Everything else is ok. But the bolts themselves are like they were recovered from depths of ocean before being installed. Fortunately frame side cleans up easy. Hoping this thing doesn’t rot out. :censored:

I could also put the money towards a new set of 33s or 35s for my 15s and kick the wheel dilemma down the road lol

Lady wants to do some more night wheeling stuff with snow and camping etc etc. And she was endlessly talking about the different whips some of my friends had and seeing them in glamis. So part of her Xmas stuff came in today. This thing is rad. Changes color and brightness and modes and all kinds of crazy nonsense. Flag is pretty lame. Likely take it off unless we end up out in the sand sometime. But I’m thinking she’ll dig it.

Put the seats down and stack them in back vertically. They will fit. :D
