    Propex HS2800, propane heater.

    2.8kw ~ 9,500 btu of heat.

    Pulls 1.9a at full blast

    80 cfm

Pros for this one vs diesel: less electrical draw, cleaner burning, higher air flow, no sooting issues

Cons: convienience of propane, relative cost, size, “noise”

I was thinking about a diesel one, but never liked the idea of carrying gas, propane and diesel.

I forgot you have that fancy cover for your truck bed that morphs into a fancy camper. Think there will be enough room to co sleep?

Truck campers are awesome. I should have done this years ago.
The tent portion is actually insulated, it hits 80 in there no problem. Still on the first tank of propane and its over half full.

My tent trailer i had years ago sucked in comparison. Took half hour to set up, battery fully drained every night, total pain in the ass.
New tires every season, needed licensed, prolly a contributing factor in the divorce. Dont miss it a bit.

Nice. Yeah for them (sprinters) it's just a tap into the fuel tank, i think its already tapped from the factory. Having to carry fuel for it would be annoying, but based on the fuel consumption, it wouldn't need to be filled very often.

But that one looks good. Have to keep us updated.

I was the first person to call on it. you never had a chance. :D
lost all interest in obtaining a FWC at this point, it's lighter, has a better roof lift system (imo), larger water tank and fits the truck perfect. Lite-Craft closed it's doors years ago but the campers still have a strong following.
plus about 25K less in price.

I looked all summer, saw quite a few that were total junk and overpriced. Biggest issue was warped or bent roofs and mold in the pop up portion, mattress stains :puke:, leaky water tanks, etc....

Bed is a queen size, so it’ll be comfy.

When the bottom is built out, the dog will have a place to hang, and when the kid is older they will swap sleeping areas.
