My Instagram is completely erratic and mocks people in a way some of you may not like...

Oh, except for when I pulled that Dodge out of the snow trying to cross Rollins pass but didn't make it more than 1 mile from Moffatt Tunnel... I didn't weigh enough to pull them out on my own, I had to deploy all four MaxTraxxxxxxxxxxx under their truck.

I only mostly use fb for sharing pictures so gparents and family can see them easily. IG makes it that much easier for pictures.

I try to keep it positive...so I don't earn many likes or views. People don't go on there for happy things, they go on there to cuss out and tear apart some other person they don't know because they had an idea that was different!

Wife and I deleted our Facebook awhile back. Best thing we ever did. Got a IG so grandparents and friends could see our daughter. Too lazy to post pictures haha

Y'all should just use iCloud or Google Photos to share photos with family. Then you can avoid all of the associated the bullshit with social networks. Also, if you share in a certain way, it's dead simple and auto-syncs to their devices and they'll receive notifications of new content.

"I need to head down to the 1-hour photo to have them process the film. If I pay extra, I can have them scan them and put them onto a CD and mail that to you if you want..." - said no millennial ever.

(Disclaimer: I am somehow technically ((barely)) a millennial, yet I know about Beta, Laserdisc, 8-track, cassette tapes, and many other things, so I humbly deny the designation.)

    LaserDisc? lol.
I had 8-tracks, one was a 27 pound monstrosity that took 12 "D" batteries to run for about 2 hours.
Early boom box kind of thing, but was just the 8-track player. Sounded pretty good. For paper based speakers.
Always loved it when they would switch a track mid-song. Charlie Pride and the Carpenters ftw. :headbang:

Yeah... I've done the Google stuff, but never got around to actually setting it up well.

But I don't do much contributing to FB other than pics...don't read comments or go into any of that crap since its depressing...and just keep scrolling past the "this group of people is all the same and they are hate spreaders" posts. Pot...meet kettle much!?

Those who try and avoid social media will go the same way as the Grandparents/Parents who avoided cell phones and texting. Communications with the younger generations will suffer.

Take social media for what it is, a way to connect with others, same as this forum only less anonymous. Ignore those political extremists posts/people with the click of a button.

This. I don't use my personal social media much, but fully understand its importance in todays society. I just unfollow, block, unfriend anyone that gets their rocks off by bitching about politics on a daily basis. 100% positive feed - can't say anything nice I don't want to be your friend.

Disclaimer: A large part of my income comes from running marketing strategy for large brands.

Instagram is what Facebook used to be before everything turned into hate posts. Started out (for me) as a place to save pictures so people could see them and then politics got involved.

    1-click bye bye is great.

I take social media for exactly what it is - a data gathering tool for them to sell ads.

Case in point - on FB Messenger was discussing with a gaming group what to have for dinner for tonight's dnd session. I suggested pizza. Not 15 minutes later I load up Facebook on my phone, and am presented with an ad for 50% off Papa Murphy's for today only.

I'm ok with those. When the same thing happens after a face to face conversation it begins to weird me out..
