I'm not even mad, I see no slowing of the market down here in COS, in fact if it keeps the pace it did last year I'll have $100k in equity in our house we bought for $220k in 2014.

100k in equity sounds great, unless your next house will be on the front range or a ski town. Then you'll spend all that money to get the same quality of house.

I graduated from school at the worst time. Seeing how much prices have been going up really discourages me from wanting to buy, but then if I wait, how much more will they go up? Probably time to jump on the tiny home band wagon.....

I was just giving you shit. Coincidentally when I signed into make that reply I had like notifications in one of the more recent tire threads, and I saw you in it.
Most shops won't necessarily give you (or be able to give) specific info - the responses are usually 'we can test fit it and see'. And that's just when looking at tire/wheel combos, never mind adding suspension as a variable to that. Tire height is mostly an issue with clearing the fender/pinchweld/cab mount when turning (this is rubbing of one kind and width plays a role here too). The reason you hear width being an issue is because wider tires tend to rub the upper control arm depending on the wheel backspacing (the other rubbing). The same size/width tire on a stock wheel might not fit while on an aftermarket that has less backspacing it might since the wheel pushes the tire out further. I don't know third gen numbers, but second gen most stock wheels were in the 5-5.25" BS range, while people often said to shoot for 4.5". You'll see people say they had no problem with running 285s with no rubbing and no lift, and then you'll see people say they couldn't fit it. Sometimes that's why - the BS - and other times it was alignment and removal of stock mudflaps. The other consideration is brake calipers. You can't put 15s on a second gen because it won't clear the brake calipers, and even the design of some 16s won't clear. Mine came with 265/70/17s, and I ran 265/75/16s that could contact the UCA in specific off-road conditions and would just barely rub the inner part of the mudflap a little before full lock, more so depending on flex. I'm currently running 235/85/16s and while they have more clearance from the UCA, they also rub that same mudflap spot more often even when not off-road, and it would be worse if they weren't skinny. To put a little more number to what In4aride said, stock is 31s, 32s will usually work, 33s almost always need trimming somewhere. But pretty much every tire's '31' is different (ie 31.2 vs 31.7) so same size isn't necessarily exactly the same size.

Any experience with ToyTec? I'd DIY, but honestly the time it would probably take me it would just be cheaper to have someone else do it and focus my energy elsewhere.

You might be surprised at how easy they are to install. Especially on a new truck that hasn't rusted yet.
All that i have installed only took an afternoon.
