Talked to Jeremy who is handling the auction said he walked through with the ex employees. He couldn't give me their contact info but could pass mine on with no promise that they would contact me. So they are swamped with requests or don't want to call anyone back or both.

But i did talk to the current landlord/leasing agent.

Just need to get realistic numbers before securing money. :anonymous: So i might only be back for a little while before heading out to another warm vacation.

Who wants to go trophy trucking at a rock donkey event?

Kinda funny that 6 out if the top 8 finishers were on BFG's at a Toyo sponsored event. Highest placing Toyo driver was 6th. I'm still not going to buy any BFG's for my vehicles but will defiantly race on the KR2/KR3's in baja.

Pretty much. And those peeps are mostly quiet and keep to themselves...and if they don’t keep to themselves, give a neighborhood kid a 20 to knock them over while they’re out for a walk to send a message :anonymous:

I really suggest you tour before bidding. You need to know exact Qty's (Vehicle/ generation it fits can be done later) that are totally completed, How many just need welding, etc.
Plus, you will need to set up a store front, freight account and don't forget the Sales tax/ liability insurance stuff.

Only way I see this going for big dollars is if the pics don't truly reflect how much Finished Goods are there or a 4x4 Vendor steps up like ToyTech (Who already has the front/ back office set-up to sell it).

I think the best option is buy the IP/ CAD files from the Bankruptcy court so you end up with an ongoing business model.

That equipment/supplies has some bad juju associated with it. CAD would be the best way to go imo. Besides, what makes you think they didn’t hold onto those files themselves?

Yes, I wouldn't be interested(financially) in any unfinished stuff, that would just be extra perk for later.

I would be fine with making the trip and absolutely would before bidding, just wanted to see if there's a better idea of what's there as far as getting money on the ready since I wouldn't be able to get out there in person until Tuesday or Wed. Knowing if I'd need $50k or $150k for the operation would help out a lot more today vs mid next week.

Reproducing them with the rights would be great as well, just require a shit ton more money and planning.

They probably did, but Bankruptcy court can compel them (They have zero choice) to hand them over since their is value because someone wants to buy them.

The CAD files have to exist or that LaserNut (forget the Company name) could not do the work they did for PB.

I don't see this pile of stuff going for that amount, The IP/ CAD rights probably wouldn't even get bid up to that amount either.

Generally speaking (and tossing out everything else that is there), lets say you can sell a bumper for an Market Avg of $1,500- Margin wise we will go low and say 33% (I would expect it to be 50-67%), this means your bid "cost" (tossing out all the other business overhead) needs to be $1K per bumper. Thus there needs to be either 150 totally finished bumpers there to bid $150K (which you would sell for $225K). Keep in mind this doesn't include any (Overhead) cost for getting the stuff back to Colorado, clean-up of building, Forklift renting, possible CA Sales Tax from way they word bid, etc.

I played around with this the other day and figured my MAX all in bid at $20K if there was 50 fully completed bumpers during tour. Sliders / other stuff would just be used to increase the profit margin.

Wonder if Lasernut can legally claim the files due to the balance they’re owed?
