Well, just had an interview with a local firm that went really well. The director walked me out and asked if I got an offer if I would accept it. I said I was really interested but wanted to finish my 2 other final stage interviews (Uber and MLB) before making a decision and he said that if they gave me an offer I would only have a couple days to decide. I said I was trying to see all my options and find the best mutual fit but he said that they couldn't give me a few weeks to finish my other interviews

Damn negotiation tactics. They are just trying to get you to say yes so they can pit other candidates against each other for the cheapest one.

Anyone want to double check my homework? You don't have to be a 1st gen owner, but it does only apply to 1st gens. Possibly only 2001-2004 depending on how different the wiring is on the earlier trucks.

I am inclined to go the other way and ask for more money since I am forgoing other opportunities.

Even then the numbers we talked before the interview would he in the range of a 14-20pct increase and they seem to have a great team culture so it's not that I don't want to work there

be the best candidate you can be. if you get an offer ask for more because it's probably at their lower range of what they budgeted for you. if you are a good enough candidate they usually work with you, a few grand a year is not much for a business

 

except for an international printer company that wanted me to take a pay cut and be responsible for hiring/managing/training 3 other mobile developers. They didn't want to work with me. Oh well.

Welp, looking at my sliders today I found a shit ton of rust on some of the spots I've hit them in the last few weeks. Didn't think they would rust so quickly

 

Powdercoat or painted?

They do seem to like to rust quickly especially when you actually use them. I would check, sand and touch up areas pretty often on mine.

 

Is this luxury mobile going to be ready for the end of july?

Yep! Bumper is ordered, skids will be soon and probably going to order the sliders tomorrow. Found a guy in Bozeman that can weld them on for me.
