I’m with you. I think the whole thing is just lazy ass design.

Wheelbase is actually a little shorter, and so is overall length vs a DCLB. Styling wise, it’s just awkward, though, I just think it’s the amount of bed behind the wheel opening. Move that wheel arch back a few inches and it would help even that out, but then you’d be looking at a really long wheelbase on the Jeep.

So who's in or very strongly considering being in on a Moab run next (April 5-7) weekend?

I am strongly considering. Similar to this past trip I am more interested in camping, sightseeing, and hiking than hitting difficult trails until I get my rear springs fingered out.

Whatever will get you there. If nothing else, as of now, I dont have a passenger. I am 90% sure the ole lady is not going. Do what you got to go to get there. Id like to talk to you about those other trails you had mentioned as well.
I dont have any intention of this is being a lets see whos balls are bigger kind of trip. I just want to go out there and cruise the broverlanding trails. I dont like to try to prove anything on a weekend trip anyway. It would be tough to order parts to get back in time for Monday if it got crazy.

This is how I feel about the short bed tacos. I have a DCLB and I probably could have got by with a short bed but I couldnt get past how they didn’t match the body line !

Looks like the Ram MegaCab with the extra 10" or so of cab behind the door.

Think of it as a camping trip. As close as you are, I cant think of a reason not to go.
