It got me within 20' of the point to be staked. When you have a mile and a half of road centerline to stake across rancher's hill & dale + 24" high terraces... fuck walking. I drove within 20' of the point, took the receiver off the hood, plopped it on the godrod, then staked the point under 1/10th of a foot. Did that mile and a half in an hour and a half...

No need to quit, just means it's time to stop being nice by helping people with my technical knowledge they don't have which in turn allows them to advance themselves. Time to focus on areas of work that benefit me for the time being and allows more time for myself.

most started crashing before they got to this State, unfortunately they never learned the lesson and thus they continue to crash. No need for daily updates to AM or PM traffic reports - all they need to do is replay what they already reported. Stupidity - repeating failure and expecting a different result.

Got 3 surveys knocked out this morning before the sh*t started getting fucking with the gun too much. Was MAF out there. Cold, wet...

Saw five cars having a party in the Parker Rd median around 1:30 around the Pinery... plenty of emergency vehicles in attendance. Shit, was hardly snowing... roads were only wet. Good grief people...

So, when crappy spring weather arrives... and ya gotsta work in it...

    SpringWx.jpg

But then you get home and all you want is some hot chocolate to warm your tummy... but... no milk in da fridge...

    An Idea.jpg

But there is some Nido you bought for backpacking... and you realize you have Nestle Quik in the cupboard....

    FTW....

I prescribe a Square reader, the kind that takes chips. It's a little larger, but you could also get the Square doohickey that will accept Apple / Samsung pay with whatever cell phone is handy.

Have the worthless co-worker write a paragraph stating how your superior knowledge and teamwork saved their worthless ass. Have them sign and date the chit. Then have them pay you for the work (which you did FOR them). $50... whatever. I like round numbers... you're in Boulder, so make it $100.

Then come review time... you have all that documentation in chits to submit to HR and your boss for your raise & promo. Plus you got paid for your hard earned knowledge earlier... It would be a WIN-WIN. It would be YUGE!

Amazon has Falken A/T3W Wildpeaks in P245/75R16 for $93 shipped. My mechanic can throw them on for $17 each. Even if Discount Tire were to price match... is there any point in getting them from DT? Their mounting costs are going to be higher, and then they'll try to sell me "certificates." But since the most probable place I'm going to suffer a failure is offroad, which will not be covered, and since you're supposed to "replace all four tires" on a 4x4 if you have a tire destroyed well on in mileage, and even if covered... the four certs I buy will "only" replace the one destroyed tire... what's the point? Tell me I'm wrong?

I figure I'll just have the tires drop shipped to my guy, and they'll be all ready for mounting at my convenience.

    Thoughts?

    Buehler? Buehler?

That replace all 4 shit is AWD and their funky transmission case design. They have honored their certs both times I picked up a Nail/ Screw.

They will repair for free. The cert is only for replacing the tire

You guys seem to be talking me into DT...

To ensure I'm on the same page... cert's cost money, last that I can recall anyway, correct? So... are they worth it? Can you just buy one cert, or two... and say the tire that picked up the nail was the one that had a cert? Or do they only sell you four certs at a time?

    Land surveying.

A surveyor out Elizabeth way has more work than he knows what to do with. I'm trying to ingratiate myself with him by performing superlative field work that enables him to make mo money... so he can pay me well. (I hope.)

Staking that 1.5 mile of road centerline across rancher hill and dale with 2' high terracing gave me the perfect excuse, I mean business rationale, for finally doing the suspension upgrade on my '04 DC. Am thinking Full OME with 2882's up front, and Dakars + D43L extra leafs in the back. Other possibility might be 2882's / Dakars + D43XL's and either all Bilstein shocks (5100 front, 5125 9" rear) or 5100's front and Fox 2.0's in the rear.

I might take you up on your welding offer to burn on some sliders, cuz I want to take the nerf bars off.

Last set of tires I bought for the wife's Jeep, I bought 1, and they gave me 3. They just then made it a wash by discounting the tires so it looked like I paid for 4 certs. Tell them you don't want the cert at first and they'll immediately offer some kind of deal. If not, you have 30 days to buy them after you get the tires...you can go back and try a different salesperson.

What is best time of year to be watching for ARB Deluxe Bull bumpers? Thought I had read somewhere that about once a year they knock a hundred (or more) dollars of the bumper prices.
